A look back at Here and There No. 1
After a couple more road trips and some late fall images, I’ve got one more round of color to share. Near the end of the season, you have to look harder for the color that is left.

As more leaves fell, I had to get more selective. But I found some more shots by isolating trees that were turning late. The time when entire hillsides were decked out in bright color has passed, but looking around, I could still find some colorful fall scenes.
Embrace the change in progress
Having other trees in the frame that already dropped their leaves helped make this one stand out.
Some hillsides were showing all stages of the season at once.
Isolate some lingering colors
A handful of lone trees were still showing some color at the Rogers Conservation Center in Sherburne, NY, last week. Most of the leaves have gone, but this tree is still greeting visitors as they walk towards the trails.
With that, the season is coming to a close. The bright colors of fall are mostly on the ground. The season of monochrome is just around the corner. But unlike a few years ago, I no longer store my camera on the shelf and forget about it until spring.
